All furniture is benchmade using traditional woodworking techniques (Mortise & Tenon Joinery and Inlaid Panels). Benchmade is a term used when an item is individually built from start to finish on the bench of a highly skilled carpenter.

Newport Home Furnishings only uses hardwoods, Poplar and Birch, in the construction of our furniture. We do not use particle board, MDF or other synthetics in our construction which can have high levels of formaldehyde. All of our finishes are non-toxic, lacquer based and low VOC. All finishes are continually tested for over 100 different heavy metals such as lead, mercury, etc.

Our philosophy at Newport Home Furnishings is to build furniture with “Old World” craftsmanship. Individually benchmade construction from domestic hardwoods ensures the best quality. Your Newport Home Furnishings will last generations as it becomes a treasured heirloom.

Every few months, or as needed, polish your furniture with a quality furniture polish. Avoid place furniture near heat outlets or in direct sunlight. While our finishes are durable and resistant to years of normal use, hazards such as hot dishes, water spills, and foreign chemicals cause damage. When moving furniture, always lift the entire pieces from the floor. Never push, pull, or drag your furniture as this may result in damage.

The retailer where you purchased your items will be able to provide you with the most suitable replacement parts. They can provide us with your original purchase date, model and finish of the parts you are in need of replacing.

All Newport Home Furnishings are covered by a limited 1-year product warranty.  Newport Home Furnishings warrants that the furniture will be free from defects in workmanship, materials and construction under normal use and service for 1-year from original purchase date.  Seller specifically excludes all other express and implied warranties, including any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.
